No. 16 Marian slides past ACHA Men’s Hockey

MEQUON, Wis. – The CUW ACHA men's hockey team battled on Saturday afternoon with the 16th-ranked Sabres on Saturday afternoon. Marian took a 5-2 victory to stay unbeaten at 6-0-0 on the year.

The Sabres took an early 2-0 lead on Saturday, but the Falcons did not fold.

With 2:06 remaining in the second period, Easton Williams had a back-handed shot from sophomore Easton Williams (Racine, Wis.) from assists to sophomore Connor Doyle (Naples, Fla.) and sophomore Trenton Sherman (Farmington, Minn.).

20 second later, sophomore Scott Gregor (Ashland, Wis.) landed a point-blank shot to tie the game off a pass from freshman John Swiatek (Rochester, N.Y.)

The Sabres closed the game with three-straight goals, including an empty net goal.

Senior Dakota Delbridge (Tracey, Calif.) posted another strong outing in the net on Saturday.

The Falcons return to play on Friday against Adrian.
