It was an absolute 5 game 'down to the last point' thriller as CUW and WLC battled down to a 16-14 game 5 finale.

The Falcons improved to 10-1 in conference action and guaranteed themselves at least a tie for the league championship.

A CUW win next Wednesday at home versus Marian would give Joe Cawley's team the sole outright title.

Concordia, 20-6 overall and winners of 13 straight matches, survived monster kill matches by WLC's Erika Laete (22) and Rachel Johnson (18) with a more balanced attack and very few unforced errors.

Stephanie Boehm and Lydia Meaden had 16 kills each for CUW during the marathon while Kelsey Lorenzen and Meaden combined or 51 digs against the power-hitting Warriors.
