Concordia Open Freshman Josh Denter won the 177 lb. weight class for the
Falcons in November to start the season. Andy DeLoney placed 2nd at 142,
defeating Harper’s Matt Frego, 7-5, and then defeated UW-Oshkosh’s Jon
Wierzbicki in the semis by a 6-4 decision to advance to the finals. Marquette’s Sean McEneaney defeated DeLoney 17-7 in the finals.

 

WI Collegiate Open at UW-Parkside Josh Denter placed 5th at 177 lbs. to lead

the Falcons.

 

WI Private College Tournament Jan. 21 Anthony Horvath won the 142 lb. weight Class, winning 9-8 in the finals over MSOE’s Tim Moore. Horvath defeated Lawrence’s Kevin Dutton in the semis, 4-3. The Falcons placed 3rd as a team, and were also led by runner-up finishes by: Mike Pankratz (118), Chuck Racliff (126), Andy DeLoney (150), and Jon Galiher (158). Ryan Rosenow was 3rd at 177 lbs.

 

Concordia (IL) Invite Feb. 4 The Falcons placed 8th, and were led by Chris Wedell (4th at 150 lbs.) and Ryan Rosenow (4th at 167 lbs.). UW-Whitewater won the tournament followed by Olivet (MI) and NE Missouri State.

 

Lake Michigan Conference Meet Feb. 11 The Falcons won their first conference title, getting individual titles from Chuck Radcliff (126), Andy Deloney (142), Jon Galiher (150), and Ryan Rosenow.

 

LMC Team Scores: Concordia 92, Maranatha Baptist 78, Northwestern WI & Lakeland College 31, Milwaukee School of Engineering 26, Northland Baptist 23.

NAIA National Championships March 10-11 Jamestown, ND The Falcons qualified six individuals to the NAIA National Meet, but did not have any placewinners.
