CUW women’s lacrosse getting better
St. Louis, MO
Concordia's first-year women's lacrosse team dropped an 8-4 road decision at Fontbonne Sunday but Coach Emily Mason saw huge improvement in her team.
"We defended better and made this a competitve contest against a school that's had a program for 4 years," explained Mason. "April Forar defended like crazy for us," she added.
Mackenzie Siemans scored twice for CUW and teammates Samantha Meuwissen and Erin Lau added single tallies. Concordia actually took a 1-0 lead (the first time the Falcons have led this season) before the Griffins recovered.
Concordia (0-8) travels to Naperville to play North Central on Wednesday, April 13th.
