Falcons fall in home NACC match to Stars

MEQUON, Wis. – Concordia Wisconsin couldn't slow down the defending NACC champions on Friday evening, as 15th-ranked Dominican earned a 3-0 (25-18, 25-14, 25-12) victory inside the R. John Buuck Field House.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Concordia Wisconsin stayed with Dominican through the early stages of the opening set, trailing by two points, 13-11, before the visitors began to pull away. The Stars hit .444 in the first set and .415 for the match.
- The Falcons played their strongest in set one, hitting .227. They would go on to outblock Dominican, 7-5, which included five (one solo, four assisted) by freshman Cody Sciabica (Henderson, Nev.).
- Sophomore Isaac Glynn (Byron, Minn.) had seven kills, while sophomore Sam Rovik (Silver Lake, Wis.) recorded five and eight digs. Freshman Connor Muff (Kenosha, Wis.) recorded 17 assists.
- Junior Braden Persinger (Reedsville, Wis.) ended with four block and three kills.
- Dominican was led by Jake Sidner who had 10 kills, while Adrian Cebula posted nine kills, three service aces and five digs. Jack McGuire assisted on 35 kills.

MATCH NOTES
- The Falcons have recorded double-digit block assists in nine matches this season, including five of their last six.
