Women’s Cross Country reflects on 2018 season

MEQUON, Wis. – The Falcons finished another strong season in 2018. The women's cross country team finished the season with three top-five finishes.

"One of my favorite memories from this year would be our conference meet," said head coach Russ DeLap. "Where everyone had great races, watching the progress each runner made and sharing in the passion we love."

The Falcons finished in first place at the Wisconsin-Oshkosh Kollege Town Invitational with 31 points. Freshman Mackenzie Dorth (West Bend, Wis.) finished in first place at 25:46.

CUW finished the NACC Championships in fourth place at 92 points. Senior Molly Wirtz (Stevens Point, Wis.) led the flock in sixth place at 23:50.59.

Mackenzie Dorth was named the NACC Freshman of the Year.

Molly Wirtz, Mackenzie Dorth and sophomore Emma Verbeke (Appleton, Wis.) all earned All-NACC accolades in 2018.

The Falcons closed the year with a 24th-place finish at the NCAA Division III Midwest Regional Championships.
