Depth important in Women’s Volleyball victory

ROCKFORD, Ill. – A total of 16 players saw action on Tuesday evening, as Concordia Wisconsin cruised to a 3-0 (25-21, 25-16, 25-19) victory over Rockford during NACC play inside the Seaver Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Concordia Wisconsin has always had depth, but it showed during the fourth sweeping victory of the season. They hit .233 in the opening set before going on the attack with a .357 percentage in the second frame to take control. While the offense was on point, the defense limited the Regents to a .045 attack percentage for the match.
- In all, six players had at least four kills for the Falcons, led by junior Megan Mayer's (Downers Grove, Ill.) seven. Senior Amanda Schultz (North Prairie, Wis.) added six kills and a .857 attack percentage, while freshmen Sophia Collins (Lake Mills, Wis.) and McKenna Nigl (Richland Center, Wis.) each smashed five kills.
- Sophomore Cristina Stinson (Aurora, Ill.) connected with hitters for 12 kills and senior Haley Sedo (Neenah, Wis.) added 10 assists.
- Defensively, freshman Annie Marie Olszowka (Bolingbrook, Ill.) dug eight attack attempts and freshman Olivia Richter (Naperville, Ill.) recorded four block assists. Junior Kendall Stribling (Greenfield, Wis.) also assisted on three blocks.
- Della Crain and Emily Johannes each had eight kills for Rockford and Casey Sheetz dished out 21 assists. Jennifer Quintas had 11 digs.

MATCH NOTES
- The Falcons have now hit at least .250 in a match in six matches this season.
- Concordia Wisconsin has now defeated Rockford by a 3-0 score in seven-straight matches.
