Triathlon finishes fourth at USAT Collegiate National Championship

TEMPE, Ariz. – The CUW triathlon team closed the 2018 season at the USA Triathlon Collegiate National Championship on Sunday morning in Tempe, Arizona. The Falcons finished in fourth place with 38 points.

Arizona State claimed the crown for the second-straight year with six points. Hannah Henry of Arizona State was the individual champion at 1:03.34.17

The fastest Falcon was freshman Aimee Uebersetzig (El Cajon, Calif.) in ninth place amongst Division III competition at 1:19:10.9. She posted the fastest swim of the day for CUW at 12:15.3. She also closed with the fastest CUW run at 24:46.3.

In 15th place in Division III, was senior Samantha Hoyt (Sheboygan, Wis.) at 1:21.21.1. Hoyt had the fastest time for the Blue and White on the bike at 38:56.7.

Senior Alicia Hook (Lake Villa, Ill.) finished in 19th place at 1:23.46.5. Hook recorded the fastest transition between the bike and run for the Falcons at 35.4.

Senior Hannah Barrow (Sheboygan, Wis.) clocked in a time of 24:55.4 in 21st place.

Sophomore Frances Jensen (Muskego, Wis.) crossed the finish line at 1:30.51.5 to finish in 28th place.

North Central won the Division III title, with Katherine Canfield of NCC winning the Division III title at 1:09:57.4.
