Women’s Track & Field takes sixth at Oshkosh

OSHKOSH, Wis. – The CUW women's track & field team opened the year with a sixth-place finish at the UW-Oshkosh Early Bird Invite. The Falcons secured 32 points.

UW-Oshkosh led the pack with 226 points.

At high jump, senior Nicole Veldhorst (Cedar Grove, Wis.)  finish in third place at 1.55 meters.

Freshman Lindsay Pluister (Woodridge, Ill.) finished fifth in the 400-meter dash at 1:10.14. In fifth place was senior Kathryn Schultz (Fredonia, Wis.) at 1:15.72.Schultz was also seventh in long jump at 4.35 meters.

Freshman Alexandria Hood (Grayslake, Ill.) was seventh in the 6-meter hurdles at 11.22.

Freshman Paige Winterfeldt (Roseville, Minn.) secured a fifth-place finish at triple jump at 9.36 meters.

Junior Megan Curran (Spring Grove, Ill.) sat in sixth place in the shot put at 12.23 meters and in the weight throw at 15.25 meters.

The Falcons return to action on Jan. 17 at Grand Valley State.
