Women’s Track & Field opens NACC Outdoor Championships

LISLE, Ill. – The Falcons currently sit in third place after the first day of the NACC Outdoor Track & Field Championships with 25 points. The Spartans of Aurora lead with 86 points. The Blue and White recorded points in four events and had a strong qualifying session for Saturday.

The Blue and White recorded two point scorers in the discus throw. Sophomore Megan Curran (Spring Grove, Ill.) won the bronze medal at 37.22 meters and senior Chloe Eckstein (Reedsville, Wis.) finished in fourth place at 36.68 meters.

Chloe Eckstein finished in fifth place in the javelin at 30.95 meters.

Junior Nicole Veldhorst (Cedar Grove, Wis.) led the Falcons in the triple jump at 10.65 meters in fifth place. Senior Morgan Marnholtz (Merrill, Wis.) finished in seventh at 10.43, while sophomore Alden Goucher (Port Charlotte, Fla.) scored a point in eighth place at 10.37 meters.

The pole vault saw junior Kathryn Schultz (Fredonia, Wis.) take sixth place at 2.25 meters.

The Falcons will finish NACC action on Saturday.
