Irene Bolis breaks school record in qualifier

KENOSHA, Wis. – A week after breaking the school record in the 55 meter hurdles, senior Irene Bolis broke the school record again at the Carthage Final Qualifier on Friday afternoon.

"The Falcons competed well today," said coach Samantha Stark. "Irene broke her school record in the 55 meter hurdles in her last indoor meet of her collegiate career."

A senior from Marengo, Illinois, clocked in a time at 8.70 on Friday.

Last Saturday at the NACC Championships, Bolis recorded a time of 8.80.

Sophomore Megan Curran (Spring Grove, Ill.) posted a mark of 14.92 meters in the weight throw competition.

Curran will compete at the UW-Stevens Point Final Qualifier on Saturday.

Bolis will have to wait and see if her time will qualify for the 2019 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships.
