Flocco named NACC Co-Freshman of the Year

RACINE, Wis. -- Concordia Wisconsin's Gabrielle Flocco added some hardware to her collection after being named NACC Co-Freshman of the Year after finishing in a tie for 11th place. Meanwhile, the Falcons finished in fourth place as a team at Meadowbrook Country Club on Monday afternoon at the NACC Championship.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Concordia Wisconsin was unable to move up the team leaderboard, despite improving its score each day, and finished in fourth at the NACC Championship. They compiled 1,183 strokes (402-391-390) over the 54-hole tournament.
- Freshman Gabrielle Flocco (Castle Pines, Colo.) fired a 95 on Monday to finish with a total of 281 strokes, which put her in a tie with Bree Borgen to share NACC Freshman of the Year honors. Flocco ended the tournament with 11 pars. She is the fourth freshman to earn NACC FOY honors.
- Junior Molly Mundinger (West Bend, Wis.) ended in 16th position after signing for a 285 total (99-95-91). She was one of two Falcons to improve their scores each round and sunk nine par putts, including three in a row on the front nine of her final round.
- Junior Amy Carpenter (Elk Grove Village, Ill.) signed for a 99 after the final round to conclude with a 304 total and good for 21st place. She had five pars during the tournament.
- Senior Taylor Chisolm (Lindenhurst, Ill.) recorded a tie for 22nd place finish after 313 strokes. She was the only Falcon with a birdie (par 3 11th) during the tournament, which she accomplished during the final round, to go along with four other pars.
- Freshman Madison Ferch (Davenport, Iowa) drained a par on the second hole Monday and ended the tournament with a 354 total.
- Aurora won the team trophy by 27 strokes with a 1,054 total score.
- Ali Wilson (Lakeland) captured medalist honors by a stroke with a three-day total of 257.

- Concordia Wisconsin will travel to Carroll for a dual on Sunday at Broadlands Golf Club in North Prairie, Wisconsin.
