Chambers has career game, Falcons defeat Sabres

FOND du LAC, Wis. – Clara Chambers had a career game with 28 points to help Concordia Wisconsin earn a 71-64 victory at Marian on Saturday afternoon during NACC play.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Junior Clara Chambers (Mineral Point, Wis.) was again feeling it from downtown during the victory, with five 3-pointers to go along with a 7-for-7 performance at the free throw line for a career-high 28 points. The guard drained a pair of long balls in the first and fourth quarters, and tallied 12 points in the last 10 minutes of play.
- Concordia Wisconsin was excellent at the free throw line, making 23-of-25 in the game, and going 10-for-10 in the fourth quarter. They made nine and 12-consecutive throughout the game.
- The Falcons trailed 54-49 with 6:21 to play in the game before putting together a 17-10 scoring run that included 10 free throws and 12 points by Chambers.
- Senior Ashley Solberg (Waukesha, Wis.) recorded her second career double-double with 12 points and 14 rebounds to go along with three steals, two assists and a block.
- Rachel Serchen scored a game-high 23 points on 9-of-12 shooting for Marian, while Paris Harris had 15 points and 15 rebounds off the bench in 30 minutes.

GAME NOTES
_ The Falcons are currently third in the NACC standings with two games to play. They'll need to win their next two games and have Lakeland go 2-1 next week to secure the No. 2 seed and a first-round bye in the NACC Tournament.
