Falcons fly by Scarlet Hawks

CHICAGO – Concordia Wisconsin was effective in every facet on Saturday afternoon during a dominant 94-50 victory over Illinois Tech during NACC play. The Falcons had four players in double-figures and made 11 3-pointers.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Illinois Tech did lead for a few minutes in the opening quarter before Concordia Wisconsin had enough and went on a 15-4 scoring run over a four-minute and 21-second span to put all the momentum on its side and shift into cruise control.
- The lead swelled to 20-plus midway through the second quarter and to 30 with four-plus minutes remaining in the third. The Falcons shot 52.3 percent (34-of-65) in the game and was a blistering 62.5 percent (10-of-16) in the third quarter.
- Concordia Wisconsin also continued its hot hand from downtown, making 11 triples. It is the third time they have drained double-figures this season. The visitors also dished out 25 assists on 34 field goals.
- Sophomore Emily Hafemann (Hales Corners, Wis.) had a notable game with 17 points (6-of-8 shooting), nine rebounds and four assists in 23 minutes of action. Freshman Signe Fronek (Weston, Wis.) scored 13 points in 15 minutes, while freshman Hannah Boettcher (Columbus, Wis.) had five points, three rebounds, seven assists and four steals off the bench.
- Senior Baylee Barker netted 13 points and dished out a career-high eight assists. Junior Arianna Liddicoat (Watertown, Wis.) recorded 10 points and freshman Aubrey Buchholtz (Seymour, Wis.) ended with seven points and eight rebounds in 15 minutes.
- Erin Efimoff led all players with 21 points on 10-of-19 shooting for Illinois Tech, while Shannon O'Donnell netted 13 points (9-of-10 free throws).

GAME NOTES
- The 94 points were the fourth most scored in program history (known records) and the 44-point margin of victory is the sixth largest. It is also the most points scored since a 96 point outburst during the 2008-09 season.
- Concordia Wisconsin out-rebounded Illinois Tech 44-21, forced 20 turnovers and scored 34 points off those errors, led 46-20 in points in the paint and had a 40-4 difference in bench production.
