Crucial rematch at Lakeland for CUW women Saturday/ The Scouting Report

MEQUON, Wis.-  It appears that the NAC North women's basketball conference has never been more balanced than this season.   Maranatha now leads the league with a 3-1 record after defeating Concordia Wisconsin 52-50 last Saturday.

Right behind the Crusaders are CUW and Lakeland with 4-2 records.  The Falcons handed LC a 72-57 defeat on November 28th and Lakeland is responsile for Maranatha's only loss, an overtime decision last week.

Edgewood and Alverno are also in the middle of the NAC mix at 3-2 as teams head into their final conference action prior to the Christmas break.

Lakeland's powerful Becky Mayo was a challenge for CUW the first time these teams met as she led all scorers with 18 points and also pulled down 10 rebounds.

Concordia was able to overcome Mayo's presence by holding the LC guards to six of 27 shooting and forcing 11 perimeter turnovers.

Although the Muskies won the rebound battle 37-29, CUW compensated by forcing 20 turnovers while commiting only nine errors.  Camille Parsons (17), Katie Luethe (14), Brittany Zietlow (14), and Tiffany Hendrickson (10) all scored in double figures for the Falcons in that late November encounter.
