Men’s Track & Field closes the book on 2019

MEQUON, Wis. – The CUW men's track & field team closed the 2019 chapter of its story in May. The Falcons competed in 17 meets on the season.

During the indoor season, the Falcons competed in nine meets.  The Falcons finished in third place at the NACC Championships with 85 points.

The third-place finish was the highest CUW finish at any event in 2019.

Senior Grant Johnson (Oconomowoc, Wis.) and sophomore Craig Reese (Germantown, Wis.) earned NACC titles in the pole vault and 5000-metre run respectively.

Junior Samual Spranger (Fond du Lac, Wis.) broke the school record at Grand Valley in the 400-meter dash at 49.29.

The outdoor season saw the Falcons competed in eight outdoor meets.

The Blue and White finished fifth at the NACC Outdoor Championships with 79.5 points.

Grant Johnson claimed the NACC crown with a school record mark of 4.30 meters at pole vault. Samual Spranger also claimed a NACC title in the 400-meter dash at 48.32.
