Men’s Track & Field succeeds at Whitewater

WHITEWATER, Wis. - The CUW men's track & field team competed at the Wisconsin Whitewater Drake Alternative on Friday.

Junior Samual Spranger (Fond du Lac, Wis.) was the individual champion in the 400-meter dash at 49.50.

In the 4x400 meter relay, the Falcons finished in second place. The team of sophomore Preus Hasselbrook (Missoula, Mont.), freshman Benjamin Wordell (Kenosha, Wis.), sophomore Emmett Williams (Hartford, Wis.) and Samual Spranger clocked in at 3:29.95.

The team of Preus Hasselbrook, Brandon Wooden, freshman Nathan Maldonado (Saint Charles, Mo.) and sophomore Paul Leahy (Eldridge, Iowa) finished fifth in the 4x100 meter relay at 43.82.

In the 100-meter dash, Paul Leahy finished in eighth place at 11.15.

Emmett Williams notched a ninth-place finish at 2:03.62.

In 10th place in the 400-meter hurdles was Preus Hasselbrook at 59.16.

At the shot put pit, freshman Gideon Cain (Cedarburg, Wis.) recorded a 13th-place finish at 13.63 meters.

The long jump saw junior Brandon Wooden (Milwaukee, Wis.) finish in 13th place at 5.92 meters. He was also 25th in the 200-meter dash at 24.43.

Sophomore Brandon Hargis (Henderson, Nev.) finished 17th in the discus throw at 38.48 meters and was 28th in the hammer throw at 34.88 meters.

Freshman Paul Mroczenski (Athens, Wis.) placed 12th at javelin at 35.22 meters.

Freshman Jack Kral (Kohler, Wis.) clocked in at 4:23.08 in the 1500-meter run in 18th place.

The Falcons return to action on Friday at the NACC Championships.
