Garcia named NACC Men's Soccer Defensive Student-Athlete of the Week

MEQUON, Wis. – Miguel Garcia was named the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Men's Soccer Defensive Student-Athlete of the Week, the league office announced on Tuesday morning.

A defender from Batavia, Illinois, Garcia was a core part of a Falcon defense that allowed just a single shot on goal in back-to-back 3-0 wins over Wisconsin Lutheran and Illinois Tech. He also led the Falcons with four points during the week, scoring the game-winning goal against Wisconsin Lutheran and notching two assists in the win over Illinois Tech.

The award is the first for Garcia in his collegiate career. He is the fourth Falcon to earn a NACC Men's Soccer Student-Athlete of the Week award this season.

Garcia and the Falcons travel to face MSOE on the road this Wednesday before returning home for a Senior Day match with Dominican on Saturday at 1pm.
