AURORA, Ill. – The Concordia Wisconsin Falcons fell to the Aurora Spartans on Saturday afternoon by a final of 4-1, snapping the Falcon's 6-0 undefeated road record on the season.
THE BASICS
- Final Score: Spartans 4, Falcons 1
- Records: Spartans 8-4 (6-0 NACC), Falcons 10-3 (4-2 NACC)
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Spartans scored first in the 10th minute as Salvador Garcia took a cross across the box and shot it into the bottom right corner of the net.
- George Yanez doubled the Spartan lead with a goal in the 23rd minute. The shot was a rocket from 20 yards out to the upper 90 right side corner.
- Aurora scored twice more in the second half. Jorge Patino scored in the 55th minute and Connor Erickson scored in the 61st.
- The Falcons got on the board in the 75th minute as Cristian Tyrpak (Hartford, Wis.) took a shot off a save in the bottom right corner that went in for his seventh goal of the season.
- Concordia Wisconsin outshot Aurora 26-13 in the loss. The Spartans had 15 saves to the Falcons five.
