King, Yeager sweep NACC Men's Soccer Student-Athlete of the Week awards

MEQUON, Wis. – The Falcons swept the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Men's Soccer Student-Athlete of the Week awards, the league office announced on Tuesday morning. Will King was named Offensive Student-Athlete of the Week and Nate Yeager was named Defensive Student-Athlete of the Week.

King, a sophomore midfielder from Maidenhead, Berkshire, England, scored the lone goal for the undefeated Falcons in their 1-0 win over UW-Platteville. He launched a shot from 25 yards out to the upper right corner that snuck into the back of the goal past the hands of the Pioneer keeper. This is the first time King has won the award.

Yeager, a senior goalkeeper from Rio Rancho, New Mexico, saved eight shots without allowing a goal for the undefeated Falcons as they posted wins over Beloit (4-0) and UW-Platteville (1-0). Six of the saves came as part of a clutch performance against UW-Platteville Saturday. Earlier in the week, Yeager had two saves in 56:14 in goal against Beloit. This is the fourth time Yeager has won the award in his career.

King and Yeager's performances have helped the Falcons remain undefeated as they improved to 6-0 on the season. The Falcons next compete on Wednesday, September 18, at 4:30pm in a home match with St. Norbert.
