Men’s Soccer shuts out Beloit to stay undefeated through five games

BELOIT, Wis. – The Falcons improved to 5-0 on the season as Concordia Wisconsin shut out Beloit 4-0 on Wednesday evening. CUW has shut out three consecutive teams and has outscored their opponents 17-2 on the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Falcons got on the board 20 minutes in with Cristian Tyrpak's (Hartford, Wis.) third goal of the season. The junior's game-winner was assisted by Miguel Garcia (Batavia, Ill.).
- CUW added a pair of goals in the final minutes of the first period. Bobby McNealy (Burlington, Wis.) scored in the 41st minute with Tyrpak netting his fourth on the year with 14 seconds remaining in the half. Antonio Gurrola-Flores (Sheboygan, Wis.) and Tanner Lark (Concordia, Mo.) assisted McNealy on his goal, while Jovan Jardine (Winter Park, Fla.) assisted Tyrpak with his.
- The second half saw one more goal scored. Gilberto Gomez (Zion, Ill.) scored unassisted three minutes into the period.
- Nate Yeager (Rio Rancho, N.M.) had two saves in 56:14 of work with Mattson Wick (New Berlin, Wis.) saving one in the remaining 33:46.

NOTES
-The last time the Falcons had a 5-0 start was back in 2016.
