Men’s Soccer shuts out Beloit to stay undefeated through five games

BELOIT, Wis. – The Falcons improved to 5-0 on the season as Concordia Wisconsin shut out Beloit 4-0 on Wednesday evening. CUW has shut out three consecutive teams and has outscored their opponents 17-2 on the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Falcons got on the board 20 minutes in with Cristian Tyrpak's (Hartford, Wis.) third goal of the season. The junior's game-winner was assisted by Miguel Garcia (Batavia, Ill.).
- CUW added a pair of goals in the final minutes of the first period. Bobby McNealy (Burlington, Wis.) scored in the 41^st minute with Tyrpak netting his fourth on the year with 14 seconds remaining in the half. Antonio Gurrola-Flores (Sheboygan, Wis.) and Tanner Lark (Concordia, Mo.) assisted McNealy on his goal, while Jovan Jardine (Winter Park, Fla.) assisted Tyrpak with his.
- The second half saw one more goal scored. Gilberto Gomez (Zion, Ill.) scored unassisted three minutes into the period.
- Nate Yeager (Rio Rancho, N.M.) had two saves in 56:14 of work with Mattson Wick (New Berlin, Wis.) saving one in the remaining 33:46.

NOTES
-The last time the Falcons had a 5-0 start was back in 2016.
