Wohlford tabbed with MLC Defensive Player of the Week honors
WAUKESHA, Wis. – Concordia Wisconsin's Garrett Wohlford was named Midwest Lacrosse Conference Defensive Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday afternoon.
Wohlford (Rochester, Minn.) made 21 saves, had a 63.6 save percentage and picked up 11 ground balls last week, as the Falcons went 1-1 in non-conference play. He made 12 saves, had a save percentage of 70.6 and picked up five ground balls in an overtime loss at Elmhurst College before making nine saves with a 56.3 save percentage and six ground balls in road victory over Augustana College (Illinois).
The conference weekly accolade is the first of the season and fourth of his career.
