ANGOLA, Ind. – The Falcons' winning streak came to an end on Friday night at Trine. The Thunder topped the Falcons on Friday, 8-2. CUW moves to 8-5-1 on the year and to 4-4-1 in the NCHA.
The Falcons struck first on the power play in the first period. David Adkins found the back of the net off passes from sophomore Cory Dennis (Madison, Wis.) and freshman Brandon Picard (Montreal, Que.).
The Thunder took the lead with four second-period goals.
Trine added four more goals in a two-minute span in the third period.
With eight seconds left, sophomore Thomas Dyball (Papillion, Neb.) scored off a pass from sophomore Luc Kreuser (Wisconsin Rapids, Wis.)
Sophomore Bo Didur (West Vancouver, B.C.) finished with 32 saves on Friday.
The Falcons look to level the weekend series on Saturday.
