Bio

Patrick Doherty is a middle school teacher and athletic director at Hales Corners Lutheran School.  He has coached basketball at the middle school and high school level for 18 years, serving as a coach at Mt. Olive Lutheran School, Hales Corners Lutheran School, and Chapman Basketball Academy.  At Hales Corners Lutheran, Coach Doherty has led his boys’ teams to multiple division, conference, and tournament championships, including two state championship game appearances, winning the Wisconsin State Championship 2016.  He has also led Hales Corners Lutheran to the National Basketball Tournament six times (2012, 2013, 2015, 2016, 2018, and 2020).

In 2018, he was recognized by the Lutheran Basketball Association of America as the recipient of the Tom Schultze Memorial, National Basketball Coaching Leadership Award.

Coach Doherty joined the men’s basketball staff at Concordia University Wisconsin as an assistant coach in 2016.  Currently entering his 6th season with the Falcons, he has helped the Falcons to a record of 77-45 since 2016, and assisted the Falcons to five Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Tournament appearances, along with a 2019 Regular Season Conference Championship, a 2019 Concordia Invitational Tournament Championship, and a trip to the 2020 NCAA Tournament with a 2020 Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Tournament Championship.
