Field Hockey duo earns NFHCA All-Region honors

MEQUON, Wis. – The National Field Hockey Coaches Association released its Longstreth/NFHCA Division III All-Region teams on Tuesday morning. The Falcons landed two Great Lakes All-Region selections in Megan McPike and Sam Dunn.

"I am very proud to have Megan and Sam's hard work get recognized nationally," said head coach Samantha Schoessow. "The recognition shows the dedication and passion these two to the commitment to the sport and our program. It is also a big validation for field hockey in the Midwest and in Wisconsin. To have two athletes from Wisconsin earn all-region honors, it shows that we can build a strong program with athletes from Wisconsin, the Midwest and everywhere else."

A sophomore from Mequon, Wisconsin, Megan McPike was named to the All-Great Lakes Region First Team. This is the second-straight year that she has claimed an all-region accolade, with a second-team selection in 2018. This year, McPike led the Falcons with 11 goals and also added four assists. McPike was named to the All-SAA First Team in November

A senior from Hartland, Wisconsin, Sam Dunn earned All-Great Lakes Region Second Team honors. This is the third-straight year that she has claimed all-region honors, with a second-team selection in 2017 and a first-team selection in 2018. This year, she scored six goals and five assists.

This is the second year that the Falcons have landed two all-region selections.
