MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Falcons battled on Saturday against SAA-rival Rhodes. The Lynx picked up the 2-0 victory to send CUW to 4-7 and 0-2 in the SAA.
The Lynx struck first off the stick of Hailey Mules in the ninth minute.
She scored 50 minutes later to give Rhodes the 2-0 victory.
Sophomore Katelyn Fitzgerald (Wood River, Ill.) posted six saves on Saturday.
Rhodes held a 20-4 shots advantage against the Blue and White.
The two teams will play round two on Sunday.
