Wooster tops Field Hockey

WOOSTER, Ohio – The Concordia Wisconsin field hockey team fell short on the road at Wooster on Sunday. The 6-2 loss sends CUW to 2-4 on the year.

Freshman Donna Pitock (Naperville, Ill.) opened the scoring on a breakaway goal.

The Scots tied the game with 29 second left in the first half.

Wooster opened the second half on a 3-0 run to take the lead.

Freshman Alison Senkbeil (St. Louis, Mo.) cut into the lead with a goal off a pass from senior Kelsey Fulton (Hartland, Wis.). The goal was the first in her collegiate career.

The Scots scored two goals to close the day.

Freshman Emily Binley (Suffolk, Va.) recorded four saves on Sunday.

Wooster outshot the Falcons on Sunday, 13-9. Senior Sam Dunn (Hartland, Wis.) and Donna Pitock led the Falcons with two shots each.

The Falcons will return to Ohio on Saturday to take on Wittenberg.
