Emily Binley named SAA Defensive Player of the Week
MEQUON, Wis. – Emily Binley was named the Defensive Player of the Week in field hockey on Monday afternoon by the Southern Athletic Association.
A freshman from Suffolk, Virginia, Binley made her first appearance for CUW on Sunday against Earlham. She recorded nine saves in the victory.
Binley is the first Falcon to earn the SAA Defensive Player of the Week title in program history. Kelsey Fulton claimed the Offensive Player of the Week title on Sept. 5, 2017.
Binley and the Falcons will compete at Ohio Wesleyan on Saturday.
