ACHA Hockey falls in shootout with Dakota at Bottineau

BOTTINEAU, N.D.  The Falcons matched the Jacks 5-5 in regulation but fell in a shootout as Concordia Wisconsin dropped the series opener to Dakota at Bottineau. 

THE BASICS
-Final Score: Dakota at Bottineau 6 (SO Win), Concordia Wisconsin 5
-Records: Dakota at Bottineau 11-16, Concordia Wisconsin 14-17

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Falcons fell behind in the 3-1 in the first period. Christopher Moore (Vernon, British Columbia) scored the lone goal of the frame for the Falcons.
-In the second period it was the Falcons who scored thrice while giving up one to tie the game at 4-4. Benny Serres (Merton, Wis.) scored twice in the frame, with Max Schramm (Edwards, Colo.) adding a goal as well.
-Dakota at Bottineau went up 5-4 in the third period before Mitchel Klopp (South Milwaukee, Wis.) tied it up at 5-5 for the Falcons.
-The Jacks defeated the Falcons in a shootout.

-The Falcons face Dakota College at Bottineau in their regular season finale on Saturday, February 9, at 1pm.
