Moore’s hat trick leads ACHA Hockey over Illinois State

MEQUON, Wis. – Christopher Moore scored a hat trick for the Falcons as the Concordia Wisconsin ACHA Hockey team defeated Illinois State 8-1 on Friday night.

THE BASICS

HOW IT HAPPENED
-Moore (Vernon, British Columbia) put the Falcons ahead 2-0 early with two first period goals. Cody Faber (Wilmot, Wis.) and Matt Gregor (Ashland, Wis.) added two more in the period to put the Falcons up 4-0.
-Gabriel D'Asto (Endeavor, Wis.) scored early in the second period for the Falcons before the Redbirds finally answered with a goal of their own to set the score at 5-1.
-After the Redbirds goal, Moore completed his trick to put the Falcons up 6-1 late in the second.
-Faber would score once again in the second and Jonathon Grodzki (Tampa Bay, Fla.) scored the lone goal of the third period to give the Falcons the win with an 8-1 final.
