Aurora pulls away from ACHA Hockey in third period

MEQUON, Wis. – Unbeaten Aurora scored five times in the third period to pull away from the Concordia University Wisconsin ACHA Men's Hockey team Friday night. The Spartans added two more goals in the second period for a 7-0 final.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Falcons kept the Spartans in check for the first two periods thanks to 30 saves by Hunter DePorter, who was making his Falcons debut. Aurora outshot CUW, 30-12, over the first two periods.

- Aurora showed why its record is unblemished in the third period with a five-goal outburst. Five different players tallied goals for the Spartans in the third period.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- The loss snaps the Falcons four-game winning streak. CUW had previously swept series against Augustana and UW-Superior.

- This was the first time this season the Falcons were shut out.

- The Falcons and Spartans will meet again tomorrow, this time at Aurora. Puck drop is set for 4:30 p.m.
