Women’s Cross Country named USTFCCCA All-Academic Team

MEQUON, Wis. – The Concordia University Wisconsin women's cross country team was named a Division III All-Academic Team by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association on Thursday afternoon.

"The women's cross country team reached a great honor with their all-academic status this past season," said head coach Russ DeLap. "I could not be more proud of all of their hard work in the classroom and with their running. This is a great group of women who strive to reach great heights both academically as well as athletically."

For a team to be considered for this honor, it must have competed and compiled a team score at an NCAA Regional meet and have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.10 on a 4.0 scale. Overall, there were 393 teams honored by the USTFCCCA, of which 215 were women's teams.

CUW has achieved this honor the past three seasons.

The Falcons posted a team cumulative grade-point average of 3.47.

The Blue and White posted a 24th-place finish at the 2018 NCAA Division III Midwest Regionals.
