Women’s Cross Country first in 6k Invite

WINNECONNE, WI. – Mackenzie Dorth and Molly Wirtz took first and second overall for Concordia Wisconsin as the Women's Cross Country team took first in the 6k Invite Race at the UW-Oshkosh Kollege Town Invitational.

THE BASICS
-Falcons Finish:
1st of 6 (31 points)
-Location: Lake Breeze Golf Club– Winneconne, Wi.
-Falcons Top Five: Dorth, Wirtz, Verbeke, Bartel, Secor

RESULTS
-Concordia Wisconsin took first as a team with an average time of 27:01 and 31 points. Moody Bible Institute followed in second place with an average of 27:32 and 50 points.
-Dorth (West Bend, Wis.) led the Falcons and the overall field with a time of 25:46 in the 6k Invite. Wirtz (Stevens Point, Wis.) followed 13 seconds later to place second overall at 25:59.
-Emma Verbeke (Appleton, Wis.) was third for the Falcons and seventh overall at 26:59, setting her pace at 7:15.
-LaNea Bartel (Kewaunee, Wis.) and Hannah Secor (Marengo, Ill.) rounded out the Falcons' top five at 28:09 and 28:10 respectively.

-The Falcons will compete at the NACC Championships on Saturday, October 27.
