Sprotte runs towards NACC Women's Cross Country Weekly Award

WAUKESHA, Wis. – Senior Cassandra Sprotte of the Concordia University Wisconsin Women's Cross Country team has been named the NACC Women's Cross Country Student-Athlete of the Week for the events of September 25 through October 1, the league office announced Monday.

Sprotte (Abbotsford, Wis.) ran a personal-best time of 23:04.4 to pace the Falcons at the UW-Eau Claire Blugold Invitational. Facing some of the top teams in the region, Sprotte finished 30th in the race and 17th among Division III runners.

Sprotte and the Falcons finished 10th as a team at the meet, which was held on Friday.

CUW is off this week and will next run at the Kollege Town Invitational, hosted by UW-Oshkosh on Saturday, September 14. The women's race is set for an 11:15 a.m. start.
