Mayer named NACC Player of the Week

MILWAUKEE, Wis. -- Concordia Wisconsin's Megan Mayer was named the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Women's Volleyball Player of the Week, the league office announced.

Mayer, an outside hitter, averaged 3.23 kills and 3.69 digs per set while helping Concordia Wisconsin to a trio of victories last week. During the stretch, she became the fourth player in program history to surpass 1,000 career kills. Mayer posted double-doubles in CUW's five-set wins over Illinois Tech (18 kills, 18 digs) and Dominican (15 kills, 22 digs), while narrowly missing a third with nine kills and eight digs in a sweep over Rockford. She also had five aces and six block assists during the week.

The conference weekly honor is the first of the season and second of her career.
