QUOTING GABRIELLA KAEBISCH

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Concordia Wisconsin played well in the opening set to take the early momentum, but Edgewood put itself back into the match by recording a .458 attack percentage and winning 25-16 to even the contest at a set apiece.
- A quick sub late in set two by head coach Janelle Katz just had a feeling like something different was coming and it showed in sets three and four. The sub, freshman Gabriella Kaebisch (Paddock Lake, Wis.) entered having played just four sets in the previous 13 matches and smashed five kills and hit .231 down the stretch to give the Falcons a much-needed spark. It just wasn't the rookie, as 12 players saw action in the victory.
- Senior Natalie Lutz (West Bend, Wis.) was another player who provided energy during her time on the court and dialed in a service ace of her own. Concordia Wisconsin had five players recorded five or more kills and three with two service aces. Senior Ariana Richmond (South Elgin, Ill.) dug a match-high 14 attack attempts and senior Kendall Stribling (Greenfield, Wis.) was strong at the net with four blocks (one solo).
- The Falcons came out in the fourth set and put the hammer down by going ahead 10-2 before leading 16-8 and never looking back for their third in a row and seventh of the last eight.
- Edgewood was led by Mackenzie Doherty with 11 kills and a .308 attack percentage. Brittany Sager had 21 assists and Sarah Uczen tallied 13 digs.
