Trio of Falcons recognized in NACC postseason awards

MILWAUKEE, Wis. – Concordia Wisconsin's Megan Mayer, Amanda Schultz and Kelsey Kleba were recognized by the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference for their efforts on the court in the postseason awards list, the league office announced.

Junior Megan Mayer (Downers Grove, Wis.) and senior Amanda Schultz (North Prairie, Wis.) were named to the All-NACC First Team list, and junior Kelsey Kleba (Hartland, Wis.) earned All-NACC Second Team honors.

Mayer led the Falcons this season with 322 kills and 37 service aces. She also hit .183 at the net, had 309 digs (third most on the team). The outside hitter had a season-high 20 kills in a five-set match on September 8 against St. Mary's to go along with 18 double-digit kill totals. This is the first time she was named All-NACC First Team, having previously winning NACC Freshman of the Year honors in 2016.

Schultz had the second highest hitting percentage (.236) on the roster and recorded 298 kills. She also recorded 69 total blocks, which was good for second on the team. Schultz tallied double-digit kills in 19 matches and had over a .300 hitting percentage in 11 contests (nine victories). This is the second consecutive year she was named to the All-NACC First Team.

Kleba earned postseason recognition for the first time in her career after ranking top-5 in the NACC for hitting percentage (.265), block assists (91) and total blocks (101). The middle hitter hit over .300 and posted five or more total blocks in 12 matches.
