QUOTING AMANDA SCHULTZ

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Falcons were solid on both sides of the ball all night long, holding the Sabres to a -.056 hitting percentage, while recording a .287 hitting percentage of their own. The victory also clinched a spot in the NACC Tournament and gives them an inside track on the No. 2 seed.
- The scores of the first two sets indicate that Marian hung around, but the first set they never got closer than five points down the stretch and the second frame saw the visitors no closer than three points near the final 25th point.
- Concordia Wisconsin subbed in some of the reserves in the third stanza, who played extremely well, and took over all momentum in the building and cruised to a 25-9 set victory for a match sweep – their sixth of the season.
- Junior Megan Mayer (Downers Grove, Ill.) led all players with nine kills; while junior Holly Anderson (Grant Park, Ill.), junior Kelsey Kleba (Hartland, Wis.) and senior Amanda Schultz (North Prairie, Wis.) posted seven kills each.
- Seniors Haley Sedo (Neenah, Wis.) and Mackenzie Wockenfus (Appleton, Wis.) each had 15 kills. Junior Ariana Richmond (South Elgin, Ill.) led the defensive efforts with eight digs, while Kleba posted five block assists.
- Jenna Skroski had eight kills to lead the Marian offense and was the only player to have a positive hitting percentage (.038). Amber Yahr had 17 assists and Brooklyn Taylor dug 12 attack attempts.
