Volleyball selected seventh in NAC Preseason Coaches' Poll

WAUKESHA, Wis. – Concordia University Wisconsin's volleyball team was selected to finish in seventh place in a vote by the head coaches of the Northern Athletics Conference, the league office announced Friday afternoon.

Coaches predicted Dominican University (12 first-place votes, 168 points) will repeat as NAC champions after the Stars finished with a 12-0 league record last season. Edgewood College, who won the NAC Tournament and advanced to the NCAA Division III Tournament, received one first-place vote and 152 points.

CUW finished with 85 total points. A year ago, the Falcons finished with a 6-18 overall record and a 5-7 league mark. The ended the 2011 campaign winning their last three matches, including two at home.

Teams begin play Aug. 31, while the conference schedule starts on Sept. 11. The NAC Tournament takes place Oct. 30-Nov. 3, with the tournament champion receiving the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Tournament.
