Maya Hielscher Once Again Claims USTFCCCA All-Region Honors

NEW ORLEANS – The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced the 2024 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field All-Region honorees on Friday evening.

The top five individuals in each event from each region earned All-Region honors. Hielscher qualified with her performance in the javelin throw.

A junior from Macomb, Michigan, Maya Hielscher is claiming All-North Region honors for the second-consecutive year. Last year, she claimed the honor for the high jump.

The Michigan native has the 22nd-best mark in the nation at 40.81 meters. She set that mark at the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Outdoor Track & Field Championships on May 3. She claimed a first-place finish with the mark.

That mark was good enough to qualify her for the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships in South Carolina.
