Women's Tennis Trio Named to CSC Academic All-District Team

MEQUON, Wis. – The College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced the 2023-24 Academic All-District® Women's Tennis teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes women's tennis honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

The Falcons landed three honorees to the CSC Academic All-District Team in the senior trio of Ricki Budewitz (Watertown, Wis.), Mallory Moen (Neenah, Wis.) and Ashley Samuta (Glen Ellyn, Ill.).

The three selections are a program record. Last year was the first year a Falcon claimed the honor.

Ricki Budewitz is claiming the honor for the second-straight season. Budewitz advanced to the Academic All-America ballot.

Ashley Samuta and Mallory Moen are claiming the honor for the first time.

Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced June 4, 2024.
