Women's Tennis takes down Marian

MEQUON, Wis. – The CUW women's tennis team started the NACC season with an 8-1 victory against Marian on Saturday. The victory sends CUW to 4-4.

Junior Mia Andrae and freshman Auden Pearson drew first blood on Saturday with an 8-1 victory at No. 3 doubles.

The junior duo of Jennifer Mies and Ricki Budewitz rang up an 8-3 victory at No. 1 doubles against the Sabres.

Freshman Mallory Moen and junior Elizabeth Johnson closed doubles play with an 8-4 victory at No. 2 doubles.

Ricki Budewitz bounced Emma Lewandowski at No. 1 singles, 6-0, 6-3.

Mallory Moen moved past Kysten Brice at No. 3 singles, 6-1, 6-1.

At No. 4 singles, Elizabeth Johnson picked up a 6-3, 6-1 victory at No. 4 singles against Erica Counter.

Jennifer Mies sank Aeryn Olson with a 6-1, 6-1 victory at No. 5 singles.

Auden Pearson picked up the final point of the day at No. 6 singles with a 6-3, 0-6, 10-6 against Katarina Pokorny.

The Falcons look to continue the good vibes on Wednesday against Wisconsin Lutheran.
