Women’s Tennis shuts out Marian

MEQUON, Wis. – Concordia Wisconsin remained undefeated in NACC play on Wednesday after a 9-0 victory over Marian on its home courts. The victory extends the Falcons conference winning streak to 34-consecutive matches.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Concordia Wisconsin began the match by taking all three doubles points, which included an 8-1 victory by senior Ashley Solberg (Waukesha, Wis.) and junior Rebekah Spiegelhoff (Mount Pleasant, Wis.).
- Singles play was highlighted by freshman Ricki Budewitz (Watertown, Wis.) who captured an easy 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 3 singles. As well, freshman Elizabeth Johnson (Hubertus, Wis.) earned a 6-1, 6-1 victory at No. 5 singles and Spiegelhoff walked away with a 6-0, 6-2 decision in her favor.
- The win pushes the Falcons to 6-0 in NACC play this season, with five of those ending in a 9-0 result.

NEXT ON THE SCHEDULE
- Concordia Wisconsin will play a NACC doubleheader on Saturday at Wisconsin Lutheran (10 am) and at Alverno (2 pm).
