Budewitz earns NACC Tennis Athlete of the Week

MILWAUKEE, Wis. - Concordia Wisconsin's Ricki Budewitz was named the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Tennis Athlete of the Week, as selected by the league's athletic communicators.

Budewitz, a freshman from Watertown, Wisconsin, helped extend the Falcons' NACC regular-season winning streak to 31 matches with three conference wins last week. She went 3-0 at No. 3 singles, winning all three matches in straight sets. Budewitz partnered with Baily Kelly for three doubles wins - one at the No. 1 spot and two from the No. 2 position. On Saturday, Budewitz won both matches in a 5-4 victory over Illinois Tech to help keep the streak alive.

The NACC weekly accolade is the first of her career.
