Titans top Falcons in non-conference clash

MEQUON, Wis. – The CUW women's soccer team dropped its second-straight match on Tuesday with a 2-1 loss to Wisconsin-Oshkosh. The loss sends CUW to 11-3-0 on the season.

"this team has a ton of resolve," said head coach Ryan Middendorf. "I've been impressed with the group and how they fight to the very end. I'm confident that our team will take their lessons from these past couple of tough matches and be stronger as the final stretch of the season approaches."

The Titans took an early 2-0 lead with two goals in the first 19 minutes.

UWO headed into halftime with a 12-6 advantage in shots.

The Falcons flipped the script in the second half with 12 shots of their own.

Freshman Selena Esten (Cedarburg, Wis.) struck in the 61st minute on a short angle shot.

Junior Kaeley Sterkel (Dana Point, Calif.) finished the evening with seven saves.

The Falcons finished with a slight advantage in shots at 19-18. Selena Esten led the flock with five shots.

The Blue and White also forced seven corners on Tuesday.

The Falcons have a quick turnaround and will host Wisconsin Lutheran on Wednesday.
