Shannon Carroll named to USC All-Region Team

MEQUON, Wis. – The United Soccer Coaches named Shannon Carroll to the Central Region All-Region Team on Monday evening.  Carroll was one of 13 athletes named to All-Region Third Team.

"This is a huge honor for Shannon and our team," said head coach Ryan Middendorf. "This is a well-deserved honor for Shannon. I am thrilled that her tireless work rate, competitiveness and talents have been recognized by others outside of the program. She was certainly the engine for our team this past season."

A junior from Mundelein, Illinois, Carroll is claiming a USC honor for the first time in her career.

In October, she was named to the Northern Athletic Collegiate Conference All-NACC First Team. 2018 marked the second time that Carroll claimed All-NACC accolades with being named to the All-NACC Second Team in 2017.

Carroll is the eighth Falcon to earn All-Region honor and the first since Emily Ciesielczyk was named to the All-Central Region Second Team in 2015.

The CUW junior started all 21 matches in 2018. She finished with five goals and three assists. Against Alverno, she finished with two goals and two assists.
