Women’s Soccer advances in NACC Tournament

MEQUON, Wis. – The Falcons and Cougars once again produced a defense battle on Saturday afternoon. CUW defeated Concordia Chicago by a score of 1-0 for the second time in eight days. The Blue and White improve to 11-9-0 on the year.

"Survive and advance is the theme of this time of the year," said head coach Ryan Middendorf. "Today was a great battle by both teams today. I couldn't be more proud of every individual performance today and collectively as a team."

Match Notes

  • Sophomore Alexandra Tomich (Mission Viejo, Calif.) walked past the CUC keeper on the ground and scored the lone goal of the match in the 67th minute.
  • Sophomore Olivia Kindt (Dyer, Ind.) recorded three saves in the victory.
  • Alexandra Tomich and sophomore Allison McElwee (Laramie, Wyo.) posted a match-high four shots.
  • CUW finishes the Fitting Field portion of the schedule at 7-2-0.
  • The Falcon defense has not allowed a goal in the last 303 minutes of play and have posted three-straight shutouts.
  • Concordia Wisconsin has had seven shutouts on the season.
