Downs nets lone goal in Falcons victory

LISLE, Ill. -- Concordia Wisconsin controlled possession of the ball often on Saturday afternoon and needed just one goal by Isabel Downs to earn a 1-0 NACC victory at Benedictine.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Falcons were dominant in the second half and with a 12-2 shots advantage over the final 45 minutes, were able to net a goal score by freshman Isabel Downs (Menomonee Falls, Wis.) in the 54th minute after lining a kick to the back of the net on a cross by senior Nicole Ciesielczyk (Waukesha, Wis.).
- Overall, Concordia Wisconsin finished with a 9-0 difference in corner kills and a 17-5 lead in shots, including 6-1 on goal.
- Sophomore Olivia Kindt (Dyer, Ind.) had a save during a complete game victory and Downs fired six shots, with three on goal.

MATCH NOTES
- It is the first one goal game the Falcons have played in this season after competing in five last season, going 3-2 in those matches.
