Pointers take down Falcons

STEVENS POINT, Wis. – Concordia Wisconsin wasn't able to overcome an early deficit on Monday night, dropping a 37-13 dual at UW-Stevens Point inside Berg Gym.

With half of the matches resulting in a forfeit and four of those given up by the Falcons, they had themselves in a hole halfway through. Sophomore Marco Padilla (Elmwood Park, Ill.) won by forfeit at 125 pounds before the visitors gave up 133, 141, 149 and 157 pounds matches.

Junior Alex Montbriand (Bartlett, Ill.) won by major decision at 165 pounds, while sophomore Merrick O'Donnell (Huntington Beach, Calif.) captured the 184-pound match with an 8-5 decision.

Concordia Wisconsin returns to action on Friday for the two-day Pete Willson Invitational hosted by Wheaton College.
