Martinson leads Falcons in 26th Annual CUW Open

Mequon, Wis. – Concordia Wisconsin hosted the 26th Annual CUW Open and were led by senior Eric Martinson, who finished the day with a 2-2 record. The Falcons had three other wrestlers post a win on the day.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Martinson received a first round bye then faced off against Connor Hanson from UW-Eau Claire who won by major decision 18-9. The Milwaukee native later won in rounds two and three of the consolation bracket before falling to Tanner Anthony of UW-Parkside by an 8-2 decision.
- O'Donnell grabbed a win today with a fall 0:49 over Zion Vasquez of Wartburg, before dropping two matches to wrestlers from Loras and Wabash to end O'Donnell's day in the second round of the constellation bracket.
- The Falcons had two other wrestlers capture wins, as Betancourt snatched a win by fall 2:01 over Gabe Pleasants of Loras. McNeill was the last Concordia Wisconsin wrestler to record a win on the day, as the freshman won by fall 4:25 over Talvin Gibson of Triton. McNeill then lost to Noah Wieczorek of UW-Stevens Point to close out the day.        

UP NEXT
- The Falcons will have a break until December 1st when they travel to the MSOE Invitational with the opening match scheduled to start at 9:00 am.
